Lumine
Lumine is a cheery octoling from the splatlands, when she's not battling, she's hanging out with Cori or tinkering with all kinds of machinery.
Lumine was a scavenger before she was able to pick herself back up, taking routine trips around the crater to try find whatever octarian treasures she could to hopefully sell to people, she's always been interested in the machinery that they managed to produce.
On one of these trips searching for treasures, she found Cori passed out on the shore and went to see if she was alright, glimpsing her discoloured tentacles beneath her hood.
Since Lumine knew octarian (due to searching for their treasures) she could talk to Cori, and she offers her a place to stay for the night, it was also during the ride back that Cori was given a pair of goggles by Lumine to shield her eyes from the sand.
Lumine went through a time where she didn't have a place to belong, much like Cori. During this time, she found people who helped her through and she wishes to be there for Cori in the same way others were there for her.
She has feelings for Cori, and takes every opportunity she can to show her affection for her.
Appearance
Her hairstyle is the octolocks hairstyle but with a ponytail, it breaks the logical 8 limbs that octolings should have, but she doesn't tell anyone how she manages it. (she's bad at explaining how she cuts her tentacles that way..)
She has a tanned skintone and green eyes, there's a cut on her left eyebrow from when she was trying to learn to dodge roll, but she doesn't tell people that.
She wears a coral wreath, the adjusted style of the anchor sweat and a pair of fry tops.
Lumine is responsible for Cori having a lot of her gear, with her goggles being a gift to Cori
She is very extroverted, and often makes friends easily (even with those she teases during her ranked matches)
She mains dark tetra dualies and has a habit of reefslidering directly towards the enemies (with claims of 'making space'(she doesnt))
She has *some* skills in mechanics, and has managed to make a functional (by definition) motorcycle that she uses when she went out searching for octarian treasures
Currently, she's trying to reverse-engineer a Squee-G
She thinks autobombs are cute, for some reason.
lumine is my newest oc!!! love her bro shes such a sckgunkly aweee,,, i dont want to fall into the trap of her just being a complementary character to cori i want to give her lore thats for her and doesnt just serve to further cori cause im realising its kinda looking like that at the moment but thats probably just cause i really need to flesh out what cori has rn (CAUSE IVE BEEN PLANNING TO FOR AGEEEEESSSSSSS sorry lumine fans youll be eating good soon i swear)
