Cori (Pre-Sani)
Cori (she didn't have a name at this time, often just being referred to as an identifier, either in the army or by Kamabo employees) was raised to be an elite soldier from birth, she cannot remember her parents, she has been training as soon as she can recall.
Due to this intensive training, however, she has found herself unable to integrate into inkling society, as she is not able to learn the language nor figure anything out, she's been forced to steal from people, something she deeply regrets and it weighs heavy on her conscience.
Cori knew of inkopolis square through the magazine she carries with her, which lead to her trying to meet people there, albeit unsuccessfully
Her abandonment of the army was discovered by one of her then-friends as she was trying to leave, After a confrontation, they gave Cori a chance to escape before they reported her desertion, storming back inside the crater.
This has tormented Cori, as she feels she's let people down as a result of this, and she worries she made the wrong decision with how badly everything's been going for her yet she has nowhere else to turn, which is what leads her to Kamabo's facilities...
Appearance
Her tentacles are a very deep orange to orange gradient at the tips of her tentacles, similar to marina's styling, she has the tentacurl hairstyle at a regular length, unlike her present self
She has dark red eyes and often wears a pair of cephalo pods, listening to music from whatever she can tune into, though she's unable to find a signal while in the metro, so her headphones don't work there
She wears the Neo octoling armour and boots, there is a little octopus trinket clipped to her belt that she got while a part of octarian society to match with someone, she keeps it there as a sort of good luck charm
She carries a backpack around with her most of the time, or leaves it in a place she knows she'll return, It holds all of her belongings
It contains an annotated copy of Inkopolis illustrated with things she finds interesting/wants to learn more about, not that she can read it
She wants to be sociable, but finds herself unable to communicate with anyone due to the language barrier, so she stays silent and keeps to herself most of the time
She moves between places to sleep, usually trying to find a secluded spot near the square, later on sleeping on the trains running through deepsea
She actually feels indebted to the telephone for 'helping her', she's unaware of it's actual motives
this is a new design so theres zero things drawn or like any refs yet i gotta apologise ill have those models up soon ill stop procrastinatng i SWEAR
Guidelines
other outfits didnt happen, she only ever wore her armour between leaving the army and kamabo, maybe like a jacket or something to go over would be alright though

She could not bring herself to face anyone after her desertion, racked with guilt

She's not sure on the process, nor the consuqences. all she knows is that they manage the metro, so she doesn't question it
friendly:
unable to get close to people due to army lifestyle/language barrier, so this isn't really relevant

She's very distant from people due to being unable to communicate with them, she refuses help because she knows she'd only have to steal from them later and it'd make her feel worse about herself.
